The meeting was called to order by Shirley Metcalf.

The minutes of the January 17, 2005 Nelson meeting were read and approved.

The Treasury balance is $41.83.

Old business:

Bob Meyer reports that the La Petite Rouge trip was a success. Two cabins that will accommodate 8 couples have been reserved for 2006 on the first weekend of February.

Shirley Metcalf & Joe Fitzsimons reported that the Mt. Tremblant trip was a success. Marta Szoke & Gabor Forgacs were the hosts in their beautiful home located very near the mountain.

New business:

Saturday, May 7, 2005, 5PM, Tellie & Dave Bray will host the Derby Day meeting. Tellie says that the dress will be casual with hats being optional. Joan LaComb and Sue Gibbs volunteered to be the callers.

Dick Partch stated that having a meeting in July or August is difficult with family obligations, etc. The group agreed. Dick and Joanne said they thought there would be a better turn out in September. There was a discussion about the fact that we did not have enough money to pay for the lamb if we did have it in July.

Therefore, Saturday, September 10, 2005, 2 PM, Joanne & Dick Partch will host the Lamb Roast meeting at their home.

At this time there is no summer meeting scheduled, maybe one of the Snowbirds will volunteer?

Mid October, 2005, Jutta & Joe Fitzsimons volunteered to host the Fall Leaf Peeking meeting.

Louise Straub was not present at this meeting, but a Happy 80th Birthday was wished to the 80 year young ski lady. Everyone signed and card and Shirley mailed it out.

Joe Fitzsimons made a motion to raise the dues from $10 a couple to $15 a couple and from $5 for a single to $7.50 for a single, to defray the expense of specialty dishes on special occasions, and so the club could continue to donate to deserving organizations. There was a brief discussion where there was a general consensus that the small raise was a good idea and probably overdue. Mel Tomalty seconded the motion. The ayes had it and the dues were raised. Bob Gibbs and others tried to pay dues that night but Shirley asked them to please wait to pay dues in September, which would be better for Bob’s efficient record keeping system.

It was asked if there were any nominees for the President & Treasurer offices, Tellie Bray made a motion that Shirley & Bob Metcalf continue for another year, Joanne Partch seconded the motion. A vote was all in favor followed by rowdy clapping. Shirley & Bob Metcalf agreed to accept the position for another year.

Thanks to the callers

Joe Fitzsimons moved to adjourn, Bob Meyer seconded the motion, adjournment was approved.
