The end of January finally brought some decent snow and an afternoon of cross county skiing at the home of Russ and Heather Nelson. Those present were Sue and Bob Gibbs, Joanne and Dick Partch, Margaret and Jim Thorp, Dorothy and Bill Mein, Tellie and Dave Bray, Bob and David Meyer, Heather, Russ, and Eric Nelson.
The cross country skiing was enjoyed by Russ, Eric, Sue and Bob Gibbs, and Bob Meyer. Others who wanted to ski but arrived too late were Bill Mein and David Meyer.
After a fine selection of soups and sandwiches, the meeting was called to order. Since our secretary was away (taking daughter Julia for a music school audition), Joanne Partch read the minutes (WITHOUT needing her glasses !!). When the minutes were read, there was a discussion about the Mein's binoculars and what could be seen across the pond at the Partch's. Dorothy noted that Dick had taken her binoculars away, so now she can't see anything out there.
The treasurer's report was made by Bob Meyer (thanks to Dave's copy on the web).
Russ and Heather were thanked for their hospitality and the dates for the next meeting were set. Sue and Bob Gibbs offered to host the next meeting on March 25 at 5:30 for dinner. Heather agreed to do the calling.
