The meeting was called to order following dinner and musical entertainment by Joe Fitzsimmons and Bob Gibbs. Present were: Joe and Jutta Fitzsimmons, Bob and Sue Gibbs, Bill and Crystal Hayman, Gene and Carolyn Kaczka, Bill Lewis, Judy Lowell, Joan LaComb and Paul McGrath, Bill and Dorothy Mein, Bob and Shirley Metcalf, Susan Meyer, Bill and Cathy Petersen, and Jim and Margaret Thorp.
The minutes of the previous meeting were summarized and approved. The treasurer's report ($261.45 at the beginning of the meeting) was approved. An additional $40 in dues was collected at the meeting, bringing the new total to $301.45.
Joe and Jutta were thanked for hosting this evening's meeting, and Carolyn Kaczka for doing the calling.
Old business: Susan Meyer reported that the deposit for two four-bedroom cabins has been sent to La Petite Rouge. There were not enough sign-ups for the additional two-bedroom cabin.
New business: The November meeting at the Meyers' has been set for the 18th. Callers will be Joan LaComb and Sue Gibbs, with Dorothy Mein as substitute.
A question was raised about the necessity of maintaining dues at five dollars per individual, since the treasury is getting larger than is probably necessary. It was mentioned that perhaps dues could be lowered next year. A motion was then made (by Bill Petersen) and seconded that unneeded funds be used to purchase beer, soda, and possibly wine for the summer lamb roast. After discussion, the question was called, and passed, after which the motion was defeated.
Bill Lewis reported that the Crist family was visiting three weeks ago, and left their present for the Christmas gift exchange. In Bill's words, "It's a dilly!"
Bill Petersen then moved that the $5 dues continue to be levied, and if and when the treasury has more funds than needed, a contribution be made to a worthy charity. After seconding, the motion passed.
Motion to adjourn made, seconded, and passed.

Respectfully submitted,
Sue Gibbs
