Pinwheel Stars for David
This quilt was made after a consultation with David. He chose the blue
background and approved the use of plaids for the pinwheels. Red is one
of his favorite colors. I wanted to work with plaids and had been collecting
them for some time. Some were quite old dating to his mother's childhood.
The pattern is based on "split rail".
The back is also pieced and contains
one large pinwheel. (Shown at right).
This quilt was made in Fall 1997 -- hand pieced and hand quilted.
