The pattern for this quilt evolved from a picture of a 1938 quilt called Dogwood. Marika's mother Beth once studied cold hardiness of dogwood plants, so this seemed appropriate. The color peach was Beth's choice. I don't like partial blocks on the edges of quilts so I left the "curved" edge and finished with a double ruffle.

It was made in Spring 1994 -- hand pieced and hand quilted.
